WHILE SITTING ON the front step, granting Murphy dog some outdoor time to watch neighbors come and go as the afternoon turned to evening, an insect appeared before my face and then receded into the gray of the sky. After losing contact, probably forever, I sensed it was still out there somewhere, living in bug-time.
It is this way with humans, also, where time may be shared for an interval, until contact is broken as each moves along a different path.
And it is also like remote objects in space, that have unique time references beyond the reach of others, except from a distance and only for a while.
