NASA MAY NEVER come up with it, in spite of all the searching, but I think the basic equation of life is:
L = E
For life to exist at all, there must be some level of excitement. The greater the excitement, the greater the life.
The unanswered question: Where does Excitement come from, and when it fades, where does it go..?
