IF “THE BIG LIE” was to claim that the 2020 general election was rigged, what is the name, then, given to that Russia collusion hoax of 2016-2019 — perpetrated by Democratic Party conspiracy with their allies in industry; manufactured by a British spy working with a Russian operative in DC; with entrenched bureaucratic interests as cover, in league with mainstream media, to create political distraction enough to overthrow Trump as president..? Was that,“The Little Lie”..?
SPECULATION ABOUT THE origin of Earth and Moon via the impact with a rogue planetoid, which occurred prior to the emergence of life, is probably the most fascinating story in all of science, these days.
The American Museum of Natural History describes it this way: The Moon’s Origin.
Estimates are that the impact occurred 4.5 billion years ago (bya). Life emerged 3.7 bya. Earth’s gestation period was, therefore, roughly 800 million years, when life was finding itself and forming, but not yet “born.”
According to scientific speculation, it is safe to assume that Earth was fertilized by an object that was heaven-sent.
Life is thought to have originated as single-celled prokaryotes.
Reproduction for them was asexual — and still is for prokaryotes living today.
Prokaryote joke: “Who’s your mamma..?”
IF THE SCIENTIFIC COMMUNITY is actually as interested in “gaining a better understanding of the origins of life,” they could start with a prokaryote. Isolate one and freeze it in some way that does not disrupt the tissue but does stop biological functions, effectively killing it.
After a period of suspended death, try to recover the life that was pushed out.
Lessons might be learned that could be applied to more complex beings, like plants, maybe.
(Humans sent across the solar system in search of life on Mars will likely find their own deaths, instead, I’m afraid.)
The trick to restoring life to a prokaryote, no doubt, will be in finding something that WANTS to be a prokaryote.
Maybe the life doesn’t want to be a prokaryote anymore.
WE CAN THINK of human history in the way cosmologists think of the history of the cosmos. Much is learned about the present state of affairs by observing past events. In cosmology, of course, this is achieved by peering deeply into space because looking deeply amounts to looking back in time.
And so it is with human life, where it is helpful to look into events of the deeply distant past for clues as to why things became as they are today.
With whichever culture, in whatever region, the first records recorded by humanity, for others to remember, were burial tributes and monuments for elite personages.
This implies that human civilization emerged, and may have been reinforced ever since, by dwelling upon grievous loss, with those cultures growing the most being the ones that experienced the most grief.
By contrast, in today’s world, quality of life is frequently measured in terms of happiness.
Have we notice any cultural decay, lately..? Maybe it’s from too much happiness.
“WHEN THE WAR CAME,” as President Abraham Lincoln would proclaim, the Civil War was seen as an act of vengeance inflicted on the United States by God for the crime of slavery.
Lincoln prayed for God’s help. The answer was to look around and find others. They are the help provided.
Have faith (smile).
It seems confounding that Civil War leaders of both the North and the South would claim to be fighting with God on their side. How can this make sense..?
Yet, the world is governed by rules that are enforced by nature and competition of interests is one of those rules that cannot be sidestepped.
With their opposition, losers have probably done God’s service by defining what needed to be conquered.
Losers can be seen as immortal heroes, then, for standing and falling, because they gave victory its meaning. For this reason, it seems, losers in war have earned a sense of honor that should not be denied them.
THE JOY OF AGRICULTURE is hard to achieve, as a rule, because intense investment of capital and labor are needed up front, with only the possibility of a harvest much later.
To be dependent upon the combined efforts of the family to sustain a livelihood on private farming is to ask a lot of family members. Yet, in return for their efforts, more than farm products are created. Family bonds are formed and strengthened. Faith in God grows, along with the crops. Certain practices, consistently applied, lead to success.
Alternatives, having a more immediate payoff, abound for almost anyone, yet are lacking in their usefulness in establishing family bonds, faith that God will provide, or belief that certain practices should be consistently applied, to lead to success.
We are in a difficult age, now, where people generally don’t know what to do, or who they are supposed to be. Yet, it is the next age that worries me: The Age of Survivalism.
RESEARCHERS ARE FINDING evidence that supports the theory that a rogue planetoid impacted with the early Earth, or, proto-Earth, some 4.5 billion years ago. Upon impact, the planetoid was largely absorbed and remains embedded within Earth’s mantle and crust. A large chunk of matter was pushed out the other side, and began to orbit as the Moon.
Let’s chew, before swallowing.
Hm.
The Moon exists, we know. Since everything that exists had a cause, the Moon, therefore, was caused to exist, somehow.
Much can be anticipated from discoveries made deep inside the mantle, which happened somehow, we know, because it exists.
Life, too, exists. It was, therefore, caused somehow.
Maybe these two events occurred simultaneously — the creation of the Moon, and initiation of life.
BIOLOGY TELLS US that life begins with an egg being fertilized from another body carrying the complementary half of the duopoly.
Life, presumably, did not start before the planetoid’s impact.
Whoa..!!! This sounds familiar. Maybe it is time for science to catch up with what theologists have believed for millennia.
THESE ARE EPOCH TIMES, which deserve the recognition of a proper name. If a proper name has already been given, then perhaps an unofficial, nickname would be accepted.
Anthropological history has included everything from the Stone Age to Space Age, the Information Age… Now, this: our Age of Imbeciles.
Yes, an age when the world is ruled by imbeciles, the likes of which has never been seen before — done with everyone getting to vote, and guaranteed entitlements for life, by the mother-god of government.
